Development of Bioplastics from Agricultural Waste

This technology is an innovative manufacturing process for the production of polylactic acid-based bioplastics from agricultural waste such as the inedible parts of plants, such as seeds, husks, bagasse, grasses, etc.

Polylactic Acid (PLA) is created from fermenting and polymerizing sugars harvested from plants. PLA bioplastics biodegrade into the soil after they have been utilized and disposed of as waste.
