States and regions with large numbers of educated workers enjoy many social and economic benefits, including low crime rates, high-technology-based employment, high per-capita income, and high wages. It follows that state policymakers should implement policies that increase the number of educated workers and their job opportunities. This article addresses the issue of post-secondary education and the relationship between wages and education.
