Paid Summer Internships in TX for UT Austin Freshmen and Sophomores

The IC² Institute and UT Austin’s School of Undergraduate Studies have partnered to create Home to Texas, a program that encourages University of Texas undergraduates to work in their hometowns by providing well-paid summer internships and experiences designed to help them understand the underlying values of their home communities.

Recognizing that students sometimes find it challenging to identify career opportunities and summer internships in communities away from major urban areas of Texas, Home to Texas (HTT) facilitates placements in areas outside of the San Antonio-Austin-DFW and Houston metropolitan regions.

Current UT Austin freshmen and sophomores from all majors are eligible to apply and are encouraged to attend this fall’s first Home to Texas information session at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, October 1, in the Texas Union, room 3.116 (Governor’s Room) for applications, conversations with HTT alumni, and refreshments.

Questions about the program can be sent to htt@ic2.utexas.edu.
