Find out about student internships:  Our Home to Texas program helps place students in summer jobs in their hometowns, while investigating and reporting on the challenges and opportunities in those communities.  The institute also engages UT Austin students as research assistants in Austin for a variety of projects.

Collaborate on research related to rural entrepreneurship:  UT Austin faculty may receive financial and other support for innovative research related to economic growth and entrepreneurship in rural areas, small cities, and remote locations.  In 2019, our request for proposals resulted in ten research grants, totaling $1M in funding.

Sponsor a focused project or research topic:  Let us know if you are ready to co-sponsor one of our ongoing research projects or fund an initiative related to our mission and expertise.  The institute has 42 years of experience implementing cutting-edge programs in Texas, the US, and over 40 countries around the world.
