Dr. Gregory Pogue is Deputy Executive Director and Senior Research Scientist at the IC2 Institute, The University of Texas at Austin, and is Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Management Department of the McCombs School of Business where he teaches entrepreneurship. The IC2 Institute has catalyzed growth of entrepreneurial ecosystems, starting in Austin, TX and reaching >40 countries, generating ~5N in economic impact. IC2 currently is designing innovative strategies to realize the well-being economy - extending personal wealth creation from entrepreneurship to broader societal prosperity and equity. Dr. Pogue has taught technology entrepreneurship in 15 countries, helped build or grow 10 business incubators, and lectured at numerous universities including Peking University as a Globex Fellow. Dr. Pogue has extensive technology commercialization experience through senior positions in venture capital, six entrepreneurial ventures, technology transfer offices, and as a scientific innovator himself. As a scientist, Dr. Pogue has authored >75 original scientific articles and reviews, contributed to >40 issued patents, and led development of 18 clinical stage products. Dr. Pogue has contributed to the raising or management of >$100M in venture capital and >$42 in competitive grant support.
