U.S. Ambassador to Portugal Robert Sherman visits IC² Institute

On May 10, 2016, U.S. Ambassador to Portugal Robert A. Sherman visited the IC² Institute to learn more about the UT Austin|Portugal Program and its Global Startup Program.

Since 2007, the IC² Institute and The University of Texas at Austin have partnered with universities throughout Portugal to develop collaborative academic and research programs in Advanced Computing, Digital Media, Mathematics and Emerging Technologies. In addition, the IC² Institute’s University Technology Enterprise Network (UTEN) has worked to raise Portugal’s capacity in technology commercialization and technology transfer.

The UTEN Global Startup Program offers Portugal-based ventures who are ready to “go global” a unique year-long immersion experience with the IC² Institute focused primarily on business to business outreach, global market expansion, global value creation and global revenue generation for firms wanting to grow beyond their local/regional markets.

The 2016 Global Startup Program call for Portuguese companies is open through July 10.
