ATI’s Clean Energy Incubator co-director Mitch Jacobson has been named 2016 “Mentor of the Year” by Austin Under 40.
The award was announced during the April 16 awards ceremony and gala held at the JW Marriott in downtown Austin.
ATI IT/Wireless and Water incubator director Bart Bohn was a finalist in the “Entrepreneurship & Startup” category.
The Austin Under 40 Awards Ceremony and Gala was co-presented by the Young Women’s Alliance (YWA) and the Young Men’s Business League (YMBL), who have partnered since 1998 to honor and celebrate Austin’s emerging professionals and mentors.
Jacobson joined the IC² Institute’s Austin Technology Incubator in 2009, where he serves as lead advisor to clean energy portfolio companies. He has more than 15 years’ experience investing in and working with emerging technology companies as a limited partner, board member, and consultant. Jacobson serves on the boards of the National CleanTech Open, CleanTX Foundation, Texas Foundation for Innovative Communities, and the SXSW Eco Advisory Board.
