George Kozmetsky Memorial Student Challenge Prize

A generous gift from Jordan and Laila Scott has made possible $15,000 in cash awards to the winners of the IC² Institute Student Challenge.  The George Kozmetsky Memorial Student Challenge Prize has been named in honor of the institute’s founder.

George Kozmetsky established the IC² Institute in 1977 to research the theory and practice of entrepreneurial wealth creation. He emphasized the need for collaboration among the university, government, and private sectors and pushed the institute to address unstructured problems. In this same spirit, the Student Challenge encourages students to engage with communities and collaborate with students from different colleges to develop a deeper understanding of the economic development challenges, values, and assets facing a community.

The first George Kozmetsky Memorial Student Challenge Prize will be awarded to 3 teams on Saturday, April 4th at 5:30pm, following the finals of this student competiion. To watch the announcement, follow IC² on Facebook and tune in at 5:30 pm to see our live-stream!
