Communications Specialist
Cara joined IC2 in November 2022. Most recently, Cara worked for the Texas Main Street Program, where she supported 90 Texas communities engaged in downtown revitalization. In addition to her background as a writer, Cara brings a broad range of experiences to her work as Communications Specialist. Previous roles include working as a city planner in Charleston, South Carolina; serving as a consultant to nonprofit organizations involved in the development of affordable housing; and coordinating customer experience for an Austin-based, women-owned manufacturing startup. Cara received an undergraduate degree in American Studies and a graduate degree in Community Regional Planning from UT Austin.
