Mario A. Espinoza is a Senior Project Director with Atkins, a design, engineering and project management consulting firm. His prior roles include Deputy Executive Director of the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, working in the External Affairs division of the Lower Colorado River Authority, City of Austin government relations roles in the City Manager’s Office and Austin Energy and provided auditing and consulting services in the Austin office of Price Waterhouse. Mario also served as a Graduate Intern in the Washington, DC office of Congressman J.J. “Jake” Pickle.
He earned his MBA and Master of Public Affairs from The University of Texas at Austin and a BBA from Texas State University in San Marcos. Mario is very involved volunteering in leadership roles in the greater Austin community. Currently, he serves on The University of Texas Development Board and has been invited to serve on the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs Advisory Board, also at UT Austin. Mario is a lecturer in Texas State University’s Certified Public Management Academy and has been Adjunct Faculty in the Master of Public Administration program at Texas State University. Born and reared in San Marcos, Central Texas has always been his home.
