Research Associate
Ishani Purohit is a Research Associate at the IC² Institute. She is currently working with Matt Kammer-Kerwick on the Health AI for Safety-net Providers project and the OS2 Cooperative Neighborhood project. Her work focuses on conducting in-depth surveys with healthcare providers in Texas, completing a strategy paper on Health AI, and contributing to a manuscript on collaboration and trust. Her previous work at IC² includes examining the social determinants of mental health and co-authoring a paper on that subject. Ishani also contributed to the development of a mental health app, GoodRhythms.
Ishani holds a master’s degree in public health from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and has a background in public health and international relations. She brings experience in research, policy analysis, and community engagement, with a particular interest in leveraging technology to address healthcare disparities.
