Research Associate
Tu-Quyen Dao is a research associate at the IC² Institute. Her work explores the responsible integration of artificial intelligence in health care, with a particular focus on how AI influences decision-making and clinical workflows.
She recently graduated with a B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. As an undergraduate researcher in the D3 Lab, she explored the use of vocal biomarkers to develop more objective approaches to pain assessment and investigated how AI design can influence trust alignment. She is also committed to community-engaged research that advances preventive medicine and health equity, informed by her experiences in Dell Medical School’s undergraduate experiential learning program and her continued work with ATC-EMS Pop-Up Resource Clinics (PURCs).
Tu-Quyen hopes to become a physician who thoughtfully bridges medicine and technology, using research and innovation to improve patient care and outcomes.
