Research Associate
Yug Dave is a Research Associate at the Bureau of Business at the IC² Institute, where he explores how social and environmental factors influence health outcomes through data science. Working with Dr. Matt Kammer-Kerwick, Yug is studying the predictive signals of social determinants of health on multiple health indications using data from the All of Us research program. This research contributes to an upcoming paper aimed at understanding how community-level contexts shape health disparities and predictive modeling outcomes.
Prior to this role, Yug served as a graduate research assistant at the IC² Institute, where he developed privacy-preserving AI systems and synthetic biomedical datasets using generative models such as GANs, VAEs, and diffusion models. His work focused on building predictive frameworks that identify health risk factors while ensuring data privacy and ethical integrity.
Yug holds a master’s degree in information and data science from The University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from BITS Pilani. Before joining IC², he worked on large-scale AI and data engineering projects at CGI Inc., ThirdAI, and LearnQuest, developing scalable systems for analytics, automation, and knowledge retrieval.
