Strategic Plan for Software Preeminence (Summary)

Summary of a strategic plan by the Austin Software Council (ASC) to stimulate development of the Austin, Texas software industry. Reviews the history of the ASC; identifies stakeholders in Austin from government, university, and industry; describes a network of strategic directions to achieve the larger goal of economic development; relates the strategy to the “technopolis wheel” model. (At the time the Austin Software Council was a program of the IC² Institute at The University of Texas at Austin. It later became independent of the Institute and was renamed the Austin Technology Council.)
