IC² Conference: AI Health for All
The role of AI in health care is no longer science fiction. The central question now is how to design Health AI to ensure that the benefits of precision health and augmented clinical decision-making are accessible to all segments of society. Researchers, practitioners and community advocates will come together to consider the social, ethical and technical implications of deploying AI in health care, with a focus on underserved populations and safety net providers.

IC² Workshop: Libraries as Well-Being Hubs
In this focused workshop, we convened experts, thought leaders, designers, and innovative practitioners to consider and rethink the role of public libraries in communities and in the evolving health care delivery system. The well-being hub model considers how health and well-being services are expanding beyond the four walls of the clinic and into community-based institutions that are accessible to and trusted by community members. The group considered the evolving role of libraries as a provider of health services and the resources necessary to meet community needs.

IC² Colloquium: Chat GPT and the Future of Healthcare
The IC² Institute kicked off its new colloquium series with “Chat GPT and the Future of Healthcare” on February 23. Co-sponsored by UT Good Systems and moderated by IC² Executive Director, S. Craig Watkins, the event featured four experts:
- Ying Ding, Bill & Lewis Suit Professor at the School of Information and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Population Health, Dell Medical School
- Greg Durrett; Assistant Professor of Computer Science, UT Austin
- Will Griffin, Vice President of Product Strategy at Blockchain Creative Labs (FOX)
- Justin Rousseau, M.D., Assistant Professor, Dell Medical School
The panelists provided clinical, industry, and academic perspectives on the risks, rewards, and ethics of using Chat GPT in the realm of health care.
