IC² Institute curates new GIST Network site

GIST logoThe U.S. Department of State’s Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) initiative empowers young innovators through networking, skills building, mentoring, and access to financing to develop startup solutions that address economic and development challenges.

Since 2011, GIST has engaged with science and technology innovators and entrepreneurs in 86 emerging economies around the world, providing training and resources to help them build successful startups. This is done through competitions, startup boot camps, and interactive online programs, implemented by the IC² Institute and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

This month GIST launched its new online platform, gistnetwork.org. The IC² Institute has been integral in the creation and launch of this platform, spearheaded by program coordinator Mandy Sutton. Going forward Mandy will serve as its administrator with the responsibility to certify content, events and programs globally in GIST countries.

In addition to curating content on the site, IC² Institute experts are contributing original content. Below is a sample of videos developed for the GIST Network.

If you have news or learning resources to share, would like to apply to be a mentor, or simply want to participate in the GIST Network’s discussion forms, please join the conversation at gistnetwork.org.
