IC² balances cutting edge research with real-world implementation. Since its founding in 1977, the Institute has launched and incubated an impressive array of impactful programs; most of these have later found a permanent home elsewhere at UT. In addition to the programs listed below, IC² is creating new programs that will allow us to test and implement concepts that advance the well-being economy.

Visiting Scholars

Thirty years and going strong: The Visiting Scholars program allows industry professionals, professors, and government officials from around the globe to research, write, and publish in residence at the Institute.

Readiness Training for Historically Underutilized Businesses

In partnership with Travis County, City of Austin and other agencies, IC² is removing the barriers to entry into the competitive world of government contracts for women- and minority-owned businesses.
